Crooked Drinks is an independent natural wine shop on Smith St, Collingwood — opened late 2024, just north of Johnstone St.
The focus at Crooked Drinks is to showcase emerging and noteworthy producers, local or abroad, that are part of the new-wave of winemakers who are making juice outside (or in spite of) the traditionalist approach. This could be winemakers championing uncommon varieties, practicing regenerative farming, exploring different aging techniques or producing wines that defy regional regulations or typicity.

Melbourne's natural wine scene has grown from a niche obsession into something genuinely exciting — but we are well beyond the 'natural wine' moniker now. We stock wines made with environmentally conscious farming, minimal intervention, native ferments, no or low sulphur additions, unfined and unfiltered - considered farming and thoughtful winemaking. The result is wine that tastes alive, that changes in the glass, that tells you something about where it came from and the cowboys/cowgirls/cowpeople who made it.
Our range spans pétillant naturel and skin-contact whites through to serious old-vine redsfrom South Australia and imported gems from Greece, China, and any other corners outside the well-explored, overly hyped Old World . Current favourites include Blood Moon Wines, Charlotte Dalton, Cantina Giardino, Musical Folk, and Les Frères Soulier. If you're new to 'natural' wine, we love talking wine — come in and say howdy.
Smith Street is one of Melbourne's great eating and drinking streets, and we've been part of it since 2024. We're a short walk from Fitzroy, Abbotsford, Richmond, and Carlton — and we ship to everywhere else. We're small, independent, and genuinely passionate — every bottle on the shelf was chosen because we love how it tastes, how its made and the beautiful people behind it. We work closely with producers like Fin Wines, DOOM Juice, GUM, Future Perfect, Alkimi, and Thymiopoulos — many of them considered friends.

Can't make it to Collingwood? We ship natural wineacross Australia, with $15 flat-rate shipping and free delivery on orders over $200. Same-day delivery is available across inner Melbourne for orders placed before 4pm. Our online range mirrors what's in the shop — which means our wines rotate at a ferocious speed and we only stock short runs of bottle we love, starting from $19 - and wildly eclectic. Expect progressive Australian producers alongside small, exciting international imports from Old and New World regions. We pack carefully, ship promptly, and if something arrives wrong we'll fix it.
