Monte di Grazia is a tiny family-run winery in Tramonti, high above Italy’s Amalfi Coast, founded by former paediatrician Alfonso Arpino. The estate is known for preserving rare indigenous grape varieties and ancient pre-phylloxera vines, some over 100 years old, grown on steep volcanic terraces. Farming is organic and entirely by hand due to the rugged mountain landscape. The winery follows a low-intervention philosophy, using native yeasts and minimal cellar manipulation to express the unique coastal terroir. Their wines are celebrated for their freshness, salinity, acidity, and strong sense of place rather than power or heavy oak influence.
