The grapes were bag pressed and then transferred into stainless steel tanks to settle overnight before being racked into puncheons (500L oak barrels) for fermentation and maturation. The wine was aged on its fine lees for a couple of months before bottling.
Born over a love of wine, travel and friendship, Foreign Friends was founded by sisters Leila and Crystal and close friend Juliette who met in Beechworth close to a decade ago.
Working in wine distribution as a rep, Juliette moved to Australia from France in 2016 where the trio then met in Beechworth, a special childhood place for Leila and Crystal. Spent together were many vintages, family holidays and harvest parties, from which Foreign Friends was brought to life.
