Crooked Drinks opened in late 2024 on Smith St, just north of Johnstone St, in the heart of Collingwood.
Opened by Dom Garreffa, who has spent over 10 years across Melbourne’s restaurant and bar industry. (He also has a forklift license, makes a mean bag of spaghetti and is available to hire for children’s birthday parties.)
The focus at Crooked Drinks is to showcase emerging and noteworthy producers, local or abroad, that is part of the new-wave of winemakers who are making juice outside (or in spite of) the traditionalist approach. This could be winemakers championing uncommon varieties, practicing regenerative farming, exploring different aging techniques or producing wines that defy regional regulations or typificity.
Crooked Drinks also stock a range of vinyl records and books/magazines, selected to be consumed with a great bottle of wine for a truly analogue experience. All vinyl records are bought new and played on rotation at our shop on Smith St and then made available at close to cost price - and we love to share of eclectic and ever-shifting collection online or in-store.
In Autumn 2025, Crooked Drinks will expanding to offer a small on-premise service at our wine shop. Just bottleshop prices, no stemware, no corkage, no glass options - grab a bottle and a seat, minimal pomp.

“Making a successful luxury brand in nine years is genius. It’s a feat that I admire and hope to continue building upon with a rich legacy. He revolutionised streetwear and luxury that crosses generations and decades. He showed the world that the underrepresented, the underdogs and Black people, in particular, have brilliant minds and can push and compete equally in the establishment. He inspired hope and brought about change.” - Ibrahim Kamara, Art&Image Director Off-White™
