Fin Wines 'La Nina' Rose 2023

This block is on a south facing slope on a mixture of sandy grey loam and heavy clay soils. The vines are own on their own roots and are probably the hardiest variety on the property. For our rosé we hand pick, then straight press the whole bunches very lightly, resulting in a rosé light in colour with finesse and delicate flavours. We choose these varieties for rosé because of their slow ripening, resulting in naturally higher acid with lots of flavour.

Fin Wines, a fermentation collective, launched in January 2020 with a range of wines, ciders and piquettes. Fin Wines is producing young, fresh and most importantly fun drinks with an emphasis on drinkability. They are doing this a very lo-fi way in terms of minimal additions, no filtering, spontaneous fermentation, with minimal faffing in the winery.
