The Winemaking

The fruit was pneumatically pressed, settled and fermented and aged in neutral puncheons. No malo. It was bottled under Stelvin after 9-months.

The Winery

Chris Catlow is quietly emerging as one of the great winemakers of Beechworth. Born and raised in the region, a passion for wine naturally developed. In his late teens, Chris worked for Barry Morey of Sorrenberg before taking multiple roles on the Mornington Peninsula, where Sandro Mosel ignited a fascination with Chardonnay and terroir. Under the tutelage of these Australian wine greats and with immense innate talent, Chris set his sights on Burgundy to work with micro negotiant Benjamin Leroux.
