Perched at an altitude of 500 meters in the heart of Tuscany, Tenuta La Novella is a captivating estate located within the Chianti Classico appellation. This 188-hectare estate, once abandoned, was restored in 1996 by François Schneider, who was captivated by the property’s beauty. Over the years, the old cellars dating back to the time of the Medicis, the vineyard, and the surrounding olive groves have been meticulously revived. Since 2015, Simone Zemella has been at the helm, further enhancing the estate by embracing biodynamic farming practices. The vineyards span 13.5 hectares, cultivated between 350 and 650 meters above sea level, on a mosaic of fifteen parcels. The soils are a combination of schist and sandstone, offering ideal conditions for producing rich, balanced, and terroir-driven wines.
