Nestled in the picturesque hills of Tuscany, Fattoria di Bacchereto is a hidden gem in the historic Carmignano appellation, one of Tuscany’s oldest wine regions with a winemaking heritage that dates back to the Medici era. This remarkable estate is celebrated for its authentic, artisanal approach to winemaking and its steadfast commitment to sustainable practices. Since 2002, Fattoria di Bacchereto has embraced biodynamic farming, ensuring their vineyards flourish in harmony with nature. The estate’s vineyards are rooted in stony, calcareous-clay soils at an altitude of 250–300 meters, providing the ideal conditions for growing exceptional Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. In the cellar, the estate takes a minimalist approach, crafting wines from hand-harvested grapes, utilizing natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging the wines in traditional cement vats or large oak casks.
