Dr Edge Tasmania Chardonnay is a blend of Tamar Valley (60%) and Derwent Valley (40%) fruit. 2023 marks the first year of pressing juice to 1,000L clay amphora and some seasoned oak casks as per previous years. The juice is fermented naturally, matured for 9 months on lees. The clay vessel holds around 10% by volume whole Chardonnay fruit clusters for fermentation and maturation. Bottled without fining agents.

Dr Edge is one of the most highly sought after Tasmanian brands getting around, with cool climate specialist winemaker Peter Dredge at the helm. His eponymous brand Dr Edge is his own love project, his passion, where he gets to play around and experiment. Pete sources fruit from 3 single vineyard sites across Tasmania, ’North’ is from Tamar Valley, ‘East’ from the East Coast, and ’South’ from the Derwent Valley.
